Between the rugged Moray coast and dramatic highland countryside, the Red Lion Tavern is the ideal base from which to explore some of the best locations Scotland has to offer.
We are situated adjacent to the mighty river Spey - famous for salmon fishing, along the world famous Malt Whisky Trail and minutes away from the spectacular winding, forest walks of Fochabers.

Relax and enjoy the spectacular Highland scenery or visit the unique shops in Elgin, including the Cashmere Visitor's Centre and the world's leading malt whisky specialist.
Appreciate nature at its best at nearby Spey Bay. Visit the Wild Life centre and join the 'Adopt a dolphin scheme'.

Accept the challenge and walk the 84 mile long Speyside way or experience the dramatic coastline and spot dolphins, Harbour Porpoise and later in the season, Minke Whales.

We can arrange golf, salmon fishing, horse riding, packed lunches and luggage transfers (Spay walkers) for you.

All our rooms are en suite and comfortably furnished to a high standard, with satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and ironing facilities.

Food is very important to us and you are invited to choose from our extensive, modestly priced menus that are balanced to please all tastes and include freshly made vegetarian options. Enjoy your meals in the bright and airy Sun lounge, decorated with a continental feel or relax in the newly decorated lounge bar. TV satellite sports coverage is available in the general bar area.

We do not use commercially produced or packaged foods - all meals are prepared from fresh produce in our own kitchen.
