The Soraya is run by the Skidmore family, who have over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry.

It is a comfortably furnished hotel offering a homely atmosphere. It is ideally situated 150 yards from the sea front by the Marine Lake, midway between the two piers.

The Soraya is within walking distance of the towns attractions, including the Winter Gardens, Playhouse, Sovereign Shopping Centre and Town Centre.

We specialise in serving well varied and plentiful meals at separate tables in the pleasant ground floor dining room. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for on request.

Early breakfast (for workmen etc) can also be arranged. in the evenings, light refreshments are available in the comfortable, well stocked bar.

The hotel is nicely appointed with local shops and two pubs nearby.

Your own keys are provided for access to your bedroom at all times.

The comfortable lounge, with television, is open all day and a payphone is also available.

There is a Municipal Car Park (pay and display) to the rear of the hotel.

All of our bedrooms offer personal comforts including wash basin, cotton sheets, shaver points, television and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, replenished daily.

There is en suite accommodation available.

We now offer a large family room with en-suite facilities.

Children are welcome at the Soraya. Travel cots and highchairs are available at no extra cost.

School parties are also welcome. We also offer reduced rates for senior citizens and children.

We are open throughout the year, including The Beach Race and Winter Carnival. Midweek bookings are accepted and we provide Bargain Breaks out of season.

The hotel complies with the latest Fire Regulations. Sorry, we regret we can not accept pets.
