WELCOME

Thornthwaite Grange was built at the beginning of the 18th century and was originally the village manor house. It is now run as a guest house, but every effort has been made to retain the atmosphere of a country home. Accommodation is available for non-smokers only. There is ample space for parking in the grounds.

The location is quiet and peaceful, but with the A66 being just one mile away we are not isolated, and the various attractions that the rest of the Lake District has to offer are easily accessible.

ROOMS

There are three spacious rooms, all equipped with tea-making facilities, colour TV and clock radio. All rooms are well furnished with the added comfort of armchairs and sofas.

Room 1: Double bedroom with bathroom.

Room 2: Family room to sleep 4 (double bed plus 2 single beds) with bathroom.

Room 3: Double/Twin/Family room to sleep 2/3 (one double bed and one single bed) with shower room.

BREAKFAST

We pride ourselves on using only the highest quality and freshest produce. Guests are invited to select their breakfast from the following:

Fresh fruit juice: Yoghurt: Cereal: Grilled Cumberland sausage, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, baked beans. Eggs - fried, scrambled or poached. Locally baked bread/toast or fried bread - wholemeal or white. Freshly ground coffee or tea.
