Througham Fields Cottage is a warm and welcoming family run bed and breakfast located in the quiet rural hamlet of Througham, approximately one mile north of the picturesque Cotswold village of Bisley.

With a Four Diamond rating, we have two well appointed en-suite rooms available; one double and one twin, plus a first floor conservatory with uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside - an area of outstanding natural beauty. After a restful nights sleep, we serve a filling breakfast with home made and local produce always used. Good value evening meals are available from the friendly local village inns including Bisley, Sheepscombe and Miserden.

Througham Fields Cottage, Stroud

Througham is an excellent base for touring and walking. Within a twenty minute drive you can reach Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester or Swindon. Stroud is only ten minutes away, and both Bath Spa and Bristol can be reached in less than the hour - without using the motorway. We are classic car enthusiasts ourselves, owning both a TR2 and TR4 and welcome others with similar interests! There are many beautiful walks in this part of the Cotswolds; - the Cotswold Way passes nearby for the intrepid walker, and with the forthcoming restoration of the Stroudwater Canal, there is even more for both the experienced and leisure rambler. By prior arrangement, we are happy to collect you from the end of your walk, and can provide a delicious packed lunch to sustain you on your travels!

We hope we can welcome you to our guesthouse, whether for a one night stop over, or longer to explore the local area or to attend an event such as The Cheltenham Festival; you are always assured of a friendly welcome, a comfortable room and excellent home-made food. Accommodation

We have two beautifully finished 1st floor bedrooms - a double and a twin. They have been recently refurbished to a very high standard to allow us to achieve a 4 diamond rating.

They both offer extensive uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside.

Both rooms are fully en suite, and between them is a comfortable resident's conservatory which gives wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

Find us

We are located in the hamlet of Througham which is just off Calfway Lane between Birdlip and Bisley. Once you come off this road you will see signposts for B&B which will lead you directly to Througham Fields Cottage.From M5 - Leave at junction 11a onto the A417 and follow the signs to Birdlip. Then follow directions below.

From M4 - Leave at junction 15 onto the A419 signposted M5, Cheltenham & Gloucester. Stay on the A419 past Swindon where the road number changes to the A417, and continue on past Cirencester. Once you come to the end of the dual carriageway carry on or approx 1 mile, past the Golden Hart Pub on the left and you will see Birdlip signposted on your left. Then follow the directions below.

Turn off the A417, onto the B4070 and into the village of Birdlip.
Just past the Royal George Hotel on the right, take the first left , continuing along the B4070 until the Fostons Ash pub on the left.
Keep to the left fork in the road just past The Fostons Ash, sign-posted The Camp & Bisley, onto Cheltenham Road (sometimes referred to as Calfway Lane by sat nav).
Continue on through The Camp and ignore the turning signposted Througham on the left just outside The Camp.
Continue for another 1.5 miles, round some bends and you will see the first farm building on the right of the road.
Follow the road round to the left after the farm and you will see Througham signposted immediately on your left, along with small white signs for B&B.
Take this road and follow it for 500 metres and then take the right fork in the road, signposted Througham Slad, (B&B signs here also)
Take the next (only) left and Througham Field Cottage is the first building on the right.
You can safely park through the large wooden gate.
