We are a friendly, family-run guesthouse situated in the Chiltern Hills, catering to tourists and business visitors alike. Although we are located in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside we are just one mile from the M40 motorway.

We offer a relaxed stay in our three bedrooms, one of which has en suite facilities. Two of the rooms have double beds; the third has twin single beds.

Tower Cottage, Thame

The Chiltern Hills are a beautiful, unspoilt part of the country. They lie close to the north-west of London and yet retain their rural character. The government designated them as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1965, recognising their place as part of the finest countryside in England.

The village of Aston Rowant has a rich history stretching back to the Domesday Book in the year 1086. The original village church probably dates from the 11th century, although there may have been a Saxon church on the same site prior to the Norman conquest.

Accommodation

We have three bedrooms. Each room is equipped with a television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

Bedroom 1 is a family-sized room with a double bed and en suite facilities comprising shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet. Up to three additional full size single beds can be situated in the room to sleep a maximum of five people.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed and shares a bathroom with bedroom 3. This luxury bathroom features a Jacuzzi.

Bedroom 3 has two single beds and shares a bathroom with bedroom 2. This luxury bathroom features a Jacuzzi.

Location

We are just one mile from Junction 6 of the M40 motorway.

Driving Directions
Exit the M40 at Junction 6 and, from the slip road, turn on to the B4009 towards Princes Risborough. If you are coming from London, this is a right turn; from the west it is a left turn.

In just under a mile you reach the village of Aston Rowant. Tower Cottage is the last house on the left before you leave the village. We are almost directly opposite a large signpost on the right, marked 'Village Only'. Please park in the drive.

Public Transport
We are a 20 minute walk away from the coach service stop for central London and the historic university city of Oxford. These coaches run frequently during the day and every half an hour through the night.

Saunderton is on the line to London Marylebone.

Amersham is on the Metropolitan underground line and also the same national rail line as Saunderton.
