We welcome you to the Wessex, a modern hotel that nestles in the heart of historic and beautiful Somerset, in the Ancient Kingdom of Wessex. We boast two AA stars.
We offer a warm welcome to a wide range of guests: from business people, tourists, shoppers at nearby Clark’s Village, sightseers, parents of Millfield children, walkers, cyclists, garden enthusiasts, visitors to the nearby Bath and West Showground to Carnival-goers … and many others.
The Wessex Hotel is the ideal venue for the conference Delegate in the West Country, located near the centre of Somerset in the Mendip Area, having a choice of three different-sized conference rooms as well as a large free car park.
Guests and non-residents alike may enjoy our friendly hospitality in our restaurants and bars, or attend functions, anniversaries and wedding receptions in one of our two Function Rooms. We now have a Marriage and Civil Partnership Licenceand a four poster bed in our Honeymoon Suite.

Food & Drink
We can offer a range of cuisine to suit every taste and every occasion. Our King Arthur Restaurant can tempt you with a dish from our English menu. Alternatively, you may be tempted to have a carvery meal, a buffet, or a lighter dish from our Bar/Lounge menu.
To complement your meal, why not choose from our new Wine Menu, boasting New World wines from Australia, South Africa and California, champagnes from France, desert wine from Germany, and Port from Portugal!
 
Directions
The directions to find us by road are as follows:
From the M5, turn off Junction 23 (Bridgewater) and headfor the A39 direction Street and Glastonbury. After about12 miles, you arrive in Street, then turn off into the HighStreet direction Town Centre and you will find us at the endof the High Street past Clark’s Village.
From the A303, turn off at Podimore onto the A372signposted to Street and Glastonbury. Then after a mile orso, turn right onto the B3151 direction Street. After about10 miles you arrive in Street, and at the mini-roundabout bythe pub the Street Inn turn left and we are immediately onyour left.
