The farm and cottage are set on the rugged North Devon coast half a mile from Hartland Point and the coastal path. A traditionally run stock farm keeping sheep and beef animals, it has been in the Heard family for three generations.

Farmhouse Accommodation
A typical Devon longhouse, the farmhouse is dated 1744. There are three letting rooms; a double, a twin and an en suite family room.
There is a bathroom and toilet upstairs and a separate shower room. Each bedroom has tea and coffee making facilities, clock/radio alarms, hairdryers, heaters and colour tvs.
Downstairs, the lounge has a colour television, video player, wood burning stove and some board games. Tourist information leaflets are also available here and help and advice can always be given. The dining room has a partially beamed ceiling, large fireplace, separate tables and a quiet area for any guests wishing to read, write or just get away from the television! There is also a downstairs toilet. |
The time of breakfast is arranged for each party. A full farmhouse breakfast is served with tea or coffee; other options are available.
Packed lunches are by arrangement.
Evening meal is optional and is normally served at 6.30pm but can be altered with prior arrangement and is a three-course meal followed by tea and coffee. Special diets can usually be catered for.
Guests have the freedom of the farm and the front door is always open should guests want to come in at any time during the day.

West Titchberry Self-Cetering Farm Cottage
The self-catering cottage consists of two bedrooms: one has a double bed, the other has a double bed, single bed and room for a cot or second single bed. (folding type).
Bed linen is provided. The bathroom with shower and toilet complete the upstairs.
Downstairs, the back door opens into a small area in which is kept the automatic washing machine, tumble-dryer, vacuum cleaner and a £1 slot meter for electricity.
The well-equipped kitchen and diner area incorporates a full size cooker and a microwave oven; also a fridge freezer. |
The separate lounge has a colour television, video player, sofa bed and a wood-burning stove. Logs for the stove, and background heating in the lounge and kitchen are provided free.
The front door leads out into the enclosed garden with picnic table and there is ample parking space near the cottage. There is also a table tennis table in the barn and ride-on-toys for the children.
A non-returnable deposit is due on booking; balance payable on arrival.
Arrival time from 3pm; leaving by 10am on day of departure.

Places to Visit
Local places of interest include Hartland Village with a variety of small shops, the Parish Church, Stoke, Hartland Quay, Hartland Abbey and Docton Mill gardens. Local beaches at Hartland Quay and Bucks Mills; also Westward Ho! And Bude (approx. 16 miles). Worthwhile day trips include Clovelly. The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal at Torrington, Boscastle, National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth and The Eden Project in Cornwall. |
How to find us by car
From Bideford, take the A39 Bude/Camelford road. ¼ miles after Clovelly Cross roundabout turn right onto the B3248 road signposted Hartland. Approx 1 ¼ miles fork right at Lighthouse Cross following Hartland Point/Lighthouse signs for approx. 4 1.2 miles. West Titchberry is on the left about ¼ mile after the National Trust sign at East Titchberry. |
