 | If you have never been to Robin Hood's Bay before, a rare treat awaits you. This is an ancient fishing village where many cottages date from the 17th Century. A tangled maze of houses, shops, inns and flower-decked cottages cluster on the cliff side and down to the sea. Twisting cobbled passageways and alleys offer visions of press gangs, contraband and smugglers long since gone but provide the artist a paradise today. |
 | The Village is near the North end of a sweeping bay extending to the spectacular cliffs of Ravenscar, the site of a Roman Signal Station. Inland lies the North Yorkshire Moors and countryside with its many beautiful villages and historic sites to explore. The whole area is protectively contained in a National Park and is ideal for walking or touring by car. |
The White Owl is a large interesting detached house conveniently situated for all the village amenities. Accommodation is in self-contained quality apartments with character. There is an ornamental garden with water feature and picnic tables overlooking the bay. Parking is available at the rear of the house for your convenience. The apartments are normally let on a self catering basis (weekly & daily rates) but bed & breakfast is also available at the rate of £32 per person per night. Dogs welcome by arrangement.
Balcony Apartment
Completely self-contained. Large lounge/bedroom, small balcony with views over the sea and countryside. Four-poster-style double bed. Satellite TV, video. Separate kitchen/dining room. Shower room, hand basin and toilet. Sleeps 2 (we can provide a small fold up chair-bed for child sharing)
Bay View Apartment
Completely self-contained. Lounge/dining area with satellite TV and DVD. Fully equipped kitchenette. Shower room with separate toilet and hand basin. Stairs leading to two bedrooms with sea and country views. Both rooms have a double and a single bed with wash hand basin with hot and cold water. Sleeps 2 - 5
In addition to our two 3* star apartments, we also have two small ground floor units - our Seafarer's Apartment and our Garden Room, each suitable for two people. |
