WillowBank Licensed Guest House is ideally located for bed and breakfast at Grantown on Spey in the Scottish Highlands. WillowBank is one of the first properties on the edge of the town as you enter from the South. It is one of the very few listed buildings within the Cairngorms National Park, having been standing in the town for over 150 years.

Accommodation Details

WillowBank Guest House is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, close to the ski areas of Aviemore and The Lecht.

We have 9 guest bedrooms, 6 en-suite and 3 standard rooms with separate bathroom. The standard rooms are on the second floor, and each has twin beds. The first floor has 3 double and one twin en-suite room. The ground floor has a triple en-suite and a double en-suite. Both those rooms are suitable for less able guests.

Each bedroom is individually furnished and decorated, centrally heated, double glazed with TV and hospitality tray.

The common areas of the guest house are the Residents Lounge, which has been renovated and decorated to make it a cosy place to relax, along with the Dining Room / Conservatory, which is situated at the front, and is a great place just to sit and watch the world go by!!

The area around Grantown is a lovely place for long walks. With this in mind we do accept that you may wish to bring your pet. Please do so - we have a dog of our own. For the comfort of other guests pets are not allowed in the dining room and should not be left alone in your room.

WillowBank has, for the last 3 years, been owned by Anne and Chris Hirst. During that time we have made many improvements, like the addition of further bathrooms, en-suite bedrooms, complete redecoration and re-fit of all rooms, new furnishings, a drying room, fishing rod storage, covered parking for motorcycles, 2 mountain cycles available for guest use, wireless internet throughout, double glazing and a complete new conservatory in 2005 - which we now use as a wonderful dining room. Although the renovations have been extensive, we have still managed to retain the character of the original property.

We will provide you with a wonderful breakfast choice, using many local ingredients, along with evening dinner if you require.
