With a magnificent backdrop of some of the most stunning scenery in the Peak District National Park, the Upper Derwent reservoir area is a simply spectacular location and is considered by many to be the jewel in the Peak District's crown.

The Ladybower Reservoir is the largest of the Derwent Dams which are famed for the Dambuster training runs and for the story of the two villages, Ashopton and Derwent, which were sacrificed to make way for the waters of the Ladybower Reservoir.

The Yorkshire Bridge Inn is an award winning traditional country inn, privately owned and managed by the Illingworth family since 1997. The inn is set in a glorious location in the Peak District National Park, just a short stroll from the Ladybower Reservoir amidst wonderful walking country, woodlands and a profusion of wildlife.

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the beautiful surroundings, strolling around the reservoirs or taking in one of the many cycle trails. For the more energetic there are numerous outdoor activities and some of the best walking in the country. The Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall and the market towns of Bakewell and Buxton are all close by.

Set in a glorious location, The Yorkshire Bridge Inn is an ideal base from which to explore the exceptional beauty of the peak District. It sis also a great place to enjoy a drink and have some very good food!

The quality and integrity of our food is something special. We have fine food prepared to order using fresh local produce. We support local suppliers and always seek out new produce. We have a wide menu, complimented by a selection of daily specials, and the emphasis is always on top quality and good value. There is a great choice of beers as well as an imaginative well priced wine list with something for everyone and a good selection by the glass.

We have 14 bedrooms offering comfortable accommodation, as well as a variety of bars and dining areas with a friendly atmosphere enjoyed by visitors and locals of all ages. We recently added two new 5 star self catering apartments to our accommodation portfolio. Ladybower Apartments are located in the recently restored former pump house to the reservoir, just across the road from the Inn.

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of £25 per person is required at the time of booking; this can be given over the phone using credit/debit card or by receipt of a cheque. The balance to be paid on departure.

Cancellation
Should a guest wish to cancel a booking, notice should be given in writing.

Maximum Number of Visitors
The number of visitors occupying the room(s) must not exceed the agreed limit.

Safety and Hygiene

Arrival & Departure
Check in time is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and departure is to be no later than 10.30am on the day of departure. The rooms must be left in a clean and tidy condition; otherwise additional charges may be made.

Ladybower Apartments

The Ladybower Reservoir is the largest of the Derwent Dams which are famed for the Dambuster training runs. Previously built as part of the Dam project, Ladybower Apartments are located in the former pump house which has been restored and sits in a truly unique position adjacent to the reservoir and amidst wonderful walking country, woodlands and a profusion of wildlife.

Guests can enjoy relaxing in the beautiful surroundings, strolling around the reservoirs or taking in one of the many cycle trails. For the more energetic there are numerous outdoor activities and some of the best walking in the country.

Both of our apartments are graded 5 star and are personally cared for by our resident owners. Our award winning residential inn is just across the road, offering a wide variety of high quality dining and is in an ideal place to unwind and relax.

With no expense spared each spacious apartment has quality contemporary furnishings throughout and remarkable attention to detail, from quality crystal glasses to the latest equipment and appliances.

Bridge Suite is a superb first floor apartment featuring a huge window in the sitting room from which to enjoy magnificent views across the valley. The well appointed kitchen, with an adjacent utility room, opens to the large suiting/dining room. With two double bedrooms and one twin the apartment can sleep up to six. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and feature oversized showers. There is a beautiful family bathroom with luxury bath.

Bridgewater is a stylish two bedroom apartment. A fully equipped modern kitchen opens to a sitting/dining room where French doors lead to a patio area. Both double bedrooms are furnished with contemporary fittings and are en-suite, featuring an oversized shower or luxury bath.
